Meet new neighbors and get reacquainted with old ones on National Night Out, October 8, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. National Night Out is an event to promote crime prevention and neighborhood unity. So take a lawn chair out front, bring drinks or snacks and meet the people that share your street. Exchange contact names and numbers with your neighbors with the idea that you can help each other out if in need. If you don’t already have a crime watch group in your neighborhood- this would be a good time to organize one! Although registration is not required the Township is offering free party supplies (balloons, yard signs, party ideas, an giveaways) to the neighborhoods that register. Local law enforcement and The Woodlands Fire Department will try to visit as many registered parties as possible. The kids always love meeting a real police officer and looking inside a fire truck. Let everyone know that your neighborhood is united against crime!
