Honoring our Heroes
One of the purposes of SRVA is to foster a community spirit,
and as part of that goal, we wanted to salute those who have
fought and continue to fight as part of our observance of Memorial
Day by placing flags in the village's neighborhood entrances.
We appreciate your help leaving the flags in place so that
we can decorate the neighborhoods again for the 4th of July.
4th of July Parade - Volunteers
Needed
- SRVA is looking for assistance in decorating its entry for
the parade with the theme of “Salute the troops –
heroes in our hearts.” Come to the June
13th SRVA meeting or contact
us for more info on how you and your family can participate.
- The South County 4th of July Committee is in need of volunteers
to help with the parade on July 4th. Help is needed with staging
(getting the entries in order in the parking lot and then walking
with your row of entries in the parade, optional if you can
do so) and with traffic control along the parade route. We
ask that volunteers arrive about 6:45 a.m. at the parking lot
of The Woodlands United Methodist Church, Grogan's Mill and
Lake Woodlands. The parade should be over by 10:30 a.m. A light
breakfast will be provided. If you can help, please contact

Seeking New Area Representative
As our village continues to grow, we need more people to help
our organization run smoothly. We are looking for an Area
Representative to serve some of the neighborhoods in our
Village. Contact

Earth Day Thanks
The following volunteers representing SRVA for Earth
Day helped our organization earn $500 that is used
for various purposes, including scholarships to local residents.
