JULY 4th PARADE
We are looking for residents to help decorate our village float and to
participate in the parade! Ride your bike, skateboard, or just stroll along
and wave at the crowd. If interested contact Sue Young texastwirlers@yahoo.com
CENSUS WORKERS
I just wanted all of you to know that according to the Montgomery County
Sheriff’s
Office,
U.S. Census
workers are now in the county checking addresses. They will be doing this for
the next 7 to 8 weeks.
All of the
census employees will have an I.D. badge, carry a bag with U.S. Census Bureau
across the front of it, and their vehicles will have vehicle placard or ID
cards in them. I know we all want to support the Census, but If anyone comes
to your door requesting information related to the census, make sure they have
that ID card with them before you open the door.
FRIENDS OF TEXAS WILDLIFE
Friends of Texas Wildlife is a 501(c) (3) non-profit
organization that rehabilitates orphaned and injured wildlife and releases
them back into the wild. We are an all volunteer organization and receive no
state or federal funding. We rely solely on donations to operate. We are the
only wildlife rehabilitation organization in Montgomery County and our
rehabilitators are licensed by the State of Texas.
If you should find an injured or orphaned animal, please
contact us for instructions on what to do. This includes if you should find
unwelcome guests in your attic or garage. Our services are free of charge.
